short story 1

“We entered into a round room with big marble walls, so big they mimicked those of the ancient city of Babylon.

On the walls were stories and phrases of all the wisdom in creation. God said, "You will be left in this room until the moon is full to study the walls. I will leave my wisest angel, Uriel, to watch over you. When I return I will ask you three questions."

I found the news a bit alarming as I had never been separated from God, I have always walked with him and this will be the first time I am without him.

I said to him, "But I have never been without you, how will I know what to do? I am going to miss you..." As I was about to ramble about my worries God reached into my chest and took ahold of my heart. I could do nothing but stare as I was filled with the love of God, always to be with me stored in my heart.

God said, "I will walk with you everywhere you go, you will never be alone in any of your days. Be still." He walked out of the room, but to my surprise he was still there. Or what I thought to be him, as I turned my head I only saw the memory of his presence, but the room was filled with his essence. I was still.

The walls echoed the silence. I began reading immediately.”
