poem 89

"I woke up in a garden

in the east of the Earth

a river divides into four

in this place where God gave birth

from the ground

I saw God create man

I saw him give him the animals

and control over the land

God laid him to sleep

and took a rib out of man

he woke up and named her woman

for she was taken out of her man

I saw God test them

through the cunning nature of the serpent

but it was all apart of his plan

I saw that it was perfect

God's creation failed it's test

just as he knew they would

the great divorce between man and God

and there I stood

alone in this garden

with the tree of life in front of me

I walked towards it

then God confronted me

who are you?

where do you come from?

I couldn't remember

but I knew I was someone

he laughed at me

said he was the reason for my amnesia

he sang to me

his voice was a natural anesthesia

I fell asleep

opened my eyes

and there I was

falling from the sky."
